CODEMU 2026: A C Programming Showcase

Our EMU ACM Student Chapter hosted CODEMU, a competitive programming event focused on algorithmic problem-solving and rapid coding in the C language. Teams of up to two members raced to write the most optimized, AI-free code under a strict time limit. Designed to boost algorithmic thinking for technical interviews, the competition rewarded top participants with valuable prizes like Claude Pro subscriptions and Coursera credits!

Best Stand at Festival

EMU ACM’s stand at Springfest was an absolute blast, bringing tech and fun together with our 'hams' theme and a custom Arduino-built Digital Fortune Cookie! The interactive gadget became the star of the festival, drawing huge crowds and leaving everyone laughing and smiling as they received their digital fortunes. We brought engineering straight to the heart of the festival, creating the most vibrant, laughter-filled spot on campus—huge thanks to everyone who stopped by and shared the fun with us!

Celebrating Spring at the Campus Parade!

Our EMU ACM team recently took part in the vibrant Spring Fest Parade, joining all the university student clubs to celebrate the arrival of spring! Walking alongside our fellow students in a lively atmosphere filled with music, banners, and immense school spirit, it was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our community's unity outside the lab and coding marathons. Coming together with the entire campus to embrace the festival vibes made it an unforgettable day, reminding us once again how rewarding it is to be a part of such a dynamic university culture.

Standing Against Cyberbullying: We Were at Bandabuliya!

We attended the inspiring Science Cafe panel, 'Silent Danger: The Unseen Face of Peer and Cyberbullying,' organized by the EMU Science Communication Office at Bandabuliya! It was a true privilege to join this crucial discussion on digital security alongside our university's Rector, and to catch some great moments with the keynote speakers, Dr. Fatih Bayraktar and Dr. Yeşim Kapsıl Çırak . Our Team Secured 2nd Place at IEEE Vision Quest!

Our 3-member team achieved a brilliant success by securing 2nd place at the IEEE Vision Quest challenge organized by IEEE EMU! Competing in an intense environment centered around artificial intelligence and computer vision concepts, our team focused on developing smart object detection solutions. The challenge pushed our creative thinking, programming skills, and machine learning knowledge to the limit as we worked to solve real-world detection problems under a strict timeline. Walking away with a 2nd place certificate from this highly competitive hackathon is a proud testament to our team's technical capabilities and strong collaboration!

Interactive Webinar With Game Developers from Talewords

We hosted an exclusive interactive webinar with TaleWorlds , the mastermind studio behind the iconic Mount & Blade series! Our participants gained invaluable insights into professional game studio operations, exploring topics from game engine architecture and gameplay mechanics to the real-world challenges of large-scale development. The session also illuminated career paths, internships, and essential skills for software engineering and game dev students, wrapping up with an interactive live Q&A. Another massive event bringing industry giants straight to our community!

Our Team Won 3rd Place at the Game Jam!

Winning 3rd place at the Game Jam organized by the EMU Game Design Club is a fantastic milestone achieved by our 3-member EMU ACM team! The project, titled 'Save the Spring Fest', features a hilarious and absurd storyline where university teachers and assistants turn into zombies but still manage to inflict intense exam stress and quiz pressure on students. Players control Nickyy Menaj, who must defeat these unstoppable, quiz-loving zombies by making them dance to her music while collecting color bombs to complete the festival's last dance, colorfest".
